GSRD Group Supervision

GSRD Group Supervision

A deliberate move toward inclusion, affirmation and community within a therapeutic context.

“If you’re always trying to be normal you will never know how amazing you can be”

Maya Angelou

This is a supervision group for therapists who have GSRD identities or experiences. GSRD stands for Gender, Sexual and Relationship Style Diversity. This group welcomes therapists with a wide range of gender identities, sexualities and relationship styles. Many LGBTQIA+ therapists find that counselling training, CPD and mainstream therapeutic models can leave them feeling isolated or unheard. This supervision group is a deliberate move toward inclusion, affirmation and community within a therapeutic context.

  • "In queer group therapy I can skip a few steps as I don’t have to explain my struggle - other people just get it, they understand the complexities which is such a relief"

    group member

  • "There is such value in a GSRD group where you have five other people not shaming you for something but just accepting and encouraging you. That group acceptance is so healing."

  • "I feel a sense of belonging in a queer space. There is a community of other diverse people who get what it is like to be queer, whether that is sexually or gender-wise or polyamorous"

Who this is for…

This three-hour monthly supervision group is open to all therapists (trainee or qualified) who want the support, connection and depth that comes from working alongside other GSRD-aware practitioners. The focus is broad and responsive, with diversity in all its forms valued and celebrated. Client material does not need to be GSRD specific; all themes are welcome.

The groups meet for 3 hours monthly in person in Dalston.

Interested in being part of this group?

Contact me by email, text or phone. I will let you know about availability and invite you to meet me so that we can determine if this particular group would be suitable for you.

With your permission, I would then share your first name with the group so that any possible dual relationship (client/therapist, supervisee/supervisor, colleague, ex-lover, friend) can be identified and we can then decide if this group constellation would be suitable.
